Located in Puig den Valls overlooking Ibiza Town, Bab el Oued has views of the sea, the harbour and the imposing Dalt Villa. Constructed in traditional Ibizan style with a strong north African influence, the house can accommodate up to 11 guests in 450m² of living space spread over two levels and set around a central courtyard.
The main entrance at ground level opens into a large hallway overlooking the central patio which forms the heart of the property. Leading off the hall are the living and dining space, both with access onto the courtyard and with views towards Ibiza Town and the sea. Adjacent to the dining area is the fully equipped main kitchen with separate pantry and direct access to the furnished porch and pool area. There is a separate laundry room for guest use.
Also on the ground level are two double bedrooms, one twin-bedded room and one single bedroom, all with ensuite bathrooms or showers and each opening onto the central patio. There is also a second living room and small kitchen, which, together with one of the double bedrooms and the single room, forms an optional self-contained apartment within the main house.
A staircase leads from the entrance hall to the upper floor where the master bedroom and a twin bedroom are located. The master suite has a king size bed, bath tub with panoramic views of Ibiza Town, large dressing room and private terrace. There is elevator access to this room from the ground floor. The twin bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower and a private terrace with views towards Ibiza Town. There is also a fabulous roof terrace with chill-out area that is accessed via the first floor corridor or from the pool area.
The pool area, with its 12 x 6 metre pool, is surrounded by a terrace with sun loungers and hammocks in which to relax. Running along one side of the pool the porch, with its traditional Ibizan stone wall and a Sabina wood beamed roof, has a large wooden dining table, a barbecue and outdoor sofas. Fig trees, olive trees and an ornamental pond can be found in the surrounding 5,000 m² of fully fenced ground. Open fields run down to the main road around Ibiza Town.
The house has central heating and air conditioning throughout and is equipped with Satellite TV and WiFi internet. Access is via a private driveway with paved parking for several cars next to the house.
