Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is situated in one of the oldest and best-preserved estates in Tuscany. Within the estate are eleven 17th and 18th century farmhouses that have been beautifully restored to create luxury rental villas.
Situated on a ridge 2.8 kilometres from the estate’s village and facilities, Villa Sant’Anna has wonderful views of the Sangiovese vineyards and the estate’s private golf course.
Sleeping up to nine guests, the property is made up of the 586m² main house and the 69m² pool house and is ideal for friends and families.
A beautiful Tuscan stone exterior gives way to interiors in which many original features remain. Exposed stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta tiled floors, curved staircases and arched doorways blend with sympathetically chosen furnishings to give an air of understated elegance.
On the ground floor is the sitting room with traditional Tuscan fireplace, doors opening onto the terrace and decor in warm, natural tones. An archway leads through to the dining area with adjacent country kitchen with separate laundry room. There is a separate reading room/TV room – the perfect spot to curl up with a good book or watch a movie. There is also a guest WC.
Also on the ground floor is one double bedroom with terrace access and one single bedroom. The master bedroom, a second double bedroom and a twin bedroom are all on the first floor and have views of the surrounding gardens and Tuscan countryside. All rooms have their own ensuite bathroom with bathtub and/or shower and have been individually and beautifully decorated in the same style of the rest of the property.
Within the gardens, fragrant with herbs, is the heated swimming pool flanked by a paved sun terrace and the pool house with its living room with fireplace, kitchenette, shower room and pergola shaded patio. There is also a private tennis court and wood-fired pizza oven.
Villa Sant’Anna is air-conditioned throughout, has WiFi internet there are flat screen TVs in all the bedrooms, living room, reading room and pool house.
