Located in Ibiza, the world’s most extravagant and revolutionary restaurant adds another dimension to fine dining.
An ingeniously well-orchestrated mix of culinary drama and ground-breaking technology, dining at Sublimotion isn’t like anything you’ve ever experienced. The restaurant opened its doors in 2014 at Ibiza’s Hard Rock Hotel as the “first gastronomic show in the world”. Judging by all the hype surrounding Sublimotion clients loved what they saw.
Specialising in Spanish avant-garde cuisine prepared with the finest raw ingredients, this exclusive restaurant serves just 12 guests at a time. A session lasts about 3 hours and is guaranteed to be one of the most immersive, futuristic and memorable dining experiences you’ll ever have.
This haute-cuisine affair, takes place in an all-white 70m2 capsule with projectable surfaces. Each of the 20 courses sees the décor and ambiance of the room transform. The food is brought to life by detailed projections, sounds and light effects. Even the humidity and temperature of the room is adjusted throughout the meal in order to enhance the experience. Theatrical effects are designed to challenge the mind and stimulate all five senses and at one point diners are immersed in what appears to be a meticulously staged illusion.
This unprecedented culinary experience, appears to defy space and time by transporting diners through various locations across the globe, from the Palace of Versailles to the North Pole and even under the sea. Under the guidance of double Michelin-starred chef Paco Roncero, the tasting dinner menu is as eerie and innovative as the setting. Courses star such whimsical creations as Nitrogen-frozen olive oil, levitating macaroons and cakes brought to the table by balloon.
The restaurant is open every night from Monday to Sunday, from June 1 to September 30.
